Bella Poarch
Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on the 9th of February 1997 to her biological Filipino parents. Her grandmother lived in the areas of slums for three years until she turned 3 years old. She was then adopted. Her adoptive father is white American who has military experience, as is her adoptive mother, who is Filipino. She says that her and her brother who was adopted as a baby, were abused before they joined the military. For the purpose of moving to Texas at the age of 13her family stayed for some time living in San Francisco to stay with her Aunt. Although the physical violence subsided however, she claimed to have still suffered psychological assault from her father in the home. When she turned 18, she joined an organization called the United States Navy. Poarch started her TikTok in April 2020, which quickly gained traction. She amassed over 40 million fans in less that 8 months. The account was home to a variety of videos, but her most popular hit was the video she made for Millie B's viral song Soph Aspin Send. The clip, which was zoomed in, of her rhythmically lip-syncing the song and leaping in time to it was a viral video that was the top TikTok video. In the months after joining TikTok she started her own YouTube and Twitter account to capitalize on her popularity. Her fame grew exponentially during the month of December. The news reported that she attracted the attention of two big professional Esports organisations. FaZe Clan and 100 Thieves expressed an interest to hire her as a content creator under their respective brands.
