Antonia Lofaso

The cuisine of Chef Antonia is an invitation for guests to explore the depths. Food she cooks up comes from her interest in the culture that is Los Angeles, which was ignited by a trip to Los Angeles from Long Island's suburbs. Carnitas and Cavatellis within the same menu is her ideology. Each of her dishes is filled with her unique perspective for the future as well as reminiscing on the old. Scopa Italian Roots is a restaurant that was founded by Lofaso in the year 2013. It was founded by the chef because of her heritage as an Italian-American. Lofaso's traditional Italian interpretation is considered to be one the Los Angeles' most captivating restaurants. Patrons have described Scopa as a vital neighborhood staple where Lofaso consistently provides food that is authentic and undeniably satiating. Lofaso had been an apprentice to culinary masters, absorbing their techniques and taking chances. She never hesitated in doing so, merely following her own intuition. In a short time her career, she was at the top at Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Then she collaborated alongside many celebrities, and transformed a variety of Los Angeles restaurants. In 2011, Lofaso worked together with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to open Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. In Black Market and the business alliances she created, Lofaso was able to find her new home. The creative spirit of Lofaso will be facilitated by this collaborative effort. Black Market does not have one direction and this is its intention. It could start with dill chips, then shishitos peppers. Following that is an Korean wings and then the meatballs course. What binds this diverse array of flavors is Antonia. Lofaso assesses the success she has had throughout her career by her ability to get to know her audience well and stay true to her personality. Her memorable appearances on Top Chef Chicago & Top Chef: All Stars showcased her talents outside of the cooking area. Her talents are evident in her recurring roles in the CNBC's Restaurant Startup judge and on the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child as well as ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso published The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Easy and Delicious Recipes in 2012, together with Penguin. The book also tells the story of her challenges when she was a student in the French Culinary Institute. She also raised her daughter Xea and her son Xea. Lofaso says that her passion for cooking is the driving for her accomplishments. She stays at the forefront of her field by keeping an eye on trends and fashion. Chefletics transforms the way chefs dress through the combination of style and functionality. Lofaso wants to be true to her vision and clients. The brand she has developed is Antonia Lofaso Catering to help in achieving that.
