Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is a popular American performer and actress. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is a nurse and Tom Bell, a television news director. Her mother is Polish and her father German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen developed a talent in the performing arts from the age of a child. Her role was as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother at the age of 13 and was cast as a model in newspapers and television commercials. In the same year she began taking training in private acting. Bell was credited with a minor performance as a character Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell studied at Shrine Catholic High School where she was involved in music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz was presented by the high school, and she was awarded the role of Dorothy. Bell was accepted to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater after graduation. Bell dropped out of school in 2001 to take on the character of Becky of Tom Sawyer. The same year she appeared in Pootie Tang however, the scene where she played the role was removed. This meant that the credit sequence is all that exists. Bell was seen alongside Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
