Jill Hennessy

Her family is from Edmonton, a city with Irish, Italian and Swedish roots, along with French, Ukrainian French and Swedish. Jacqueline is her twin sister, and is an actor. Jill was fluent in many languages when she was growing up. They include Italian, French, and Spanish. Her interest in acting at the age of twelve. The path to acting began in Toronto in the role of an actor in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, along with her younger sister. When she began studying improv with Deb Kimmet from Second City, she began her acting career in Toronto. She relocated in New York two years later and was offered a contract to as the assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid in the hit lengthy-running show Law & Order. The actress also appeared in films such as RoboCop 3 (1998), Ron Howard's The Paper (2000) and I Shot Andy Warhol 1996) over the course of her three-year stint. For the next few years she had a chance to appear in some forgettable films, but in 1999 she landed her first starring role in the miniseries uremberg in a role with Alec Baldwin. Autumn in New York followed and so did Exit Wounds. The actress was cast as the lead in The NBC police show Crossing Jordan in 2001. In 2007, she was honored with the Gracie Allen Award for "Outstanding female leading actress in a drama series" in recognition of her role on the show. In 2000, she got married to the actor who played her Paolo Mastropietro. The couple has two children. In 2007 She was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame. Jill Jill Jill Jill Jill
